Danny Buonsanto is a graduate from the University of Miami’s
School of Communication’s Motion Picture program (1992). He
was trained as a Photographer and Director of Photography
where lighting and composition while capturing images are
controlled to the highest degree. As a Director of
Photography, he has shot seven feature length films, both on
motion picture film and high definition video. His writing,
producing and directing credits include the feature length
motion picture, "Bad Thing Gone Worse," currently in
world wide DVD release as well as an original romantic
comedy titled "Mr. Las Vegas" (credited as producer).
As a member of the Producers Guild of America, he is in
development for three feature films, two of which he wrote.
In addition, he was recently placed as one of five finalists
(out of about 250 entrants) for the opportunity to direct a
major motion picture in association with Spike Lee. In the
documentary genre, he is currently producing and directing a
feature length film that has secured the interest of the
Discovery Channel Network. The documentary centers around an
intriguing search and recovery of a treasure lost in New
York harbor over 100 years ago. Danny’s background also
includes working in the Fashion Print Industry where he
worked in production with some of the world’s most famous
Photographers including Peter Lindbergh, Steven Meisel, and
David Lachapelle.
